Arnaldo Marini, Florence 1952, graduated in architecture from the University of Florence; He subsequently worked as a freelancer and as a public servant. A few years ago he broke a long creative silence to return to art, participating in numerous personal and group exhibitions in Italy and Abroad.

<The "Marinian" villages perfectly embody the poetry of the ruins, the purpose of which is to remind us not only of what we have been but also what we could return to being by recovering the lessons of the past.

A warning that resonates even in the paintings where the suggestions of the ruined village give way to a chilling pile of rubble. The horror of the destruction and the struggle of man against man roams among the miserable remains of this hopeless landscape. Our time - Marini seems to say - is no longer able to produce ruins, and therefore monuments to memory, but only rubble, disturbing symbols of a present without history and without a future.> (Daniela Pronestì)
